About the film:

The Double Life of Vèronique follows the life of two women from and residing in two countries with similar career goals that have an uncanny resemblance to each other but are unrelated. The film follows the similarities and differences of their life paths as each contends with the ups and downs of love and loss that speak to the uniqueness and commonality of the human experience. This film directed and co-written by Krzysztof Kieslowski was hailed as “a small miracle of cinema” for its ability to draw the audience into the depths of the character while also moving the plot forward, both of which are further elevated through beautiful cinematography. The Double Life of Vèronique was and is still considered a love letter to the genre of art house that is exceptionally intriguing and profound.
