35mm

35mm was the industry standard for motion picture exhibition until the early 2010s, and is now the format of choice for repertory screenings and specialty new releases. 35mm is the original release format for many of the older films we show, and we’re very proud to be able to screen 35mm to a very high standard, taking great care to always present films in the correct aspect ratio and sound format. We’ve run everything from rare technicolor prints from the 50s to brand new prints of new releases and everything in between, and plan to continue running 35mm as long as the theater is still standing.  A 35mm print, if well cared for, can last not only for 100s of screenings, but also for several decades, delighting thousands of people.
