Featuring a Post-Film Q&A with filmmakers

At 9:30 PM on Sunday, April 28, join us for Shorts Program 1: "Dear Body." The title is inspired by our poster illustration this year from "All the Boys I've Loved Before," the beloved coming of age film on Netflix, directed by Susan Johnson, adapted from the book of the same name by Jenny Han. For Shorts Program 1, we write a love letter to our bodies and ourselves by elevating nine shorts (varying in length, with a total of 100 minutes shown together) directed by women and non-binary filmmakers. Echoing our 7 PM screening of SMOKE SAUNA SISTERHOOD, on the same night, we elevate the shared universal experience of being in a female body, not identifying by gender but as a community.

Music Box Theatre screens films of all genres and from every era of cinema, both new releases and repertory. These films may sometimes contain upsetting, outdated, or offensive material. While we aim to introduce many of our screenings, we do not always provide warnings about potentially triggering content within the films we screen. We encourage our patrons to research the film before they attend using trailers, reviews, or content information found on Common Sense Media, IMDb and DoesTheDogDie.com.
