Steal the baby. Kill the baby. EAT THE BABY!! DEMON WITCH CHILD is a semi-rip-off of THE EXORCIST from Spanish exploitation czar Amando de Ossorio (TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD, THE LORELY'S GRASP) that features two of our favorite things: 1. Senior citizens trashing the inside of churches, and 2. Children eating other children. After an old witch commits suicide, kind-hearted Satan transfers her soul to the body of a young girl named Susan. Without warning, Susan becomes a potty-mouthed asshole who floats in the air, obsesses about sex, and has a face that resembles Lon Chaney, Jr.'s mummy make-up in THE MUMMY'S CURSE. She also kills people. Meanwhile, a man ponders has own fate after dumping his girlfriend to become a priest and not have sex ever again. Bummer! As if you couldn't tell, this movie spits venom at moral codes and goes over the line at least twenty-three times. It also has a schizoid soundtrack that sounds like Wendy Carlos hanging out at a renaissance faire and children's voices that are dubbed by middle-aged women. When a priest says, "I tell you, there's something devilish about all of this," YOU WILL BELIEVE HIM. (Joseph A. Ziemba)
