A group of commandos on a routine military exercise in Scotland wind up fighting for their lives against vicious lycanthropes. Neil Marshall’s debut film became an overnight favorite in the horror community and this is no surprise considering its incredible uber-gory practical effects, heaps of terror and panic, 16mm grittiness, believably terrified performances, and an assured understanding of how to do werewolves right.
