Actress and director (Eve’s Bayou, Harriet) Kasi Lemmons plays our straight-faced guide to a ridiculous world, a young journalist making a documentary about the contemporary hip hop scene, with a focus on the legendary group NWH ("Niggaz With Hats”). Absolutely no one is safe from being skewered in this–the rappers, their managers, their white fans, even a preacher. Featuring appearances by characters with very close resemblances to the likes of MC Hammer, Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa, Kriss Kross, and Spike Lee, just to name a few.
