Quino Lavado’s charming comic strip, Mafalda, comes to life in this delightful animated film. Mafalda is a headstrong little girl with a unique outlook on the world, an equally unique group of friends, an unflappable hatred for fascism and militarism, and a never-ending distrust of adults and their dogma. Though its root is a compilation of pre-existing animated shorts, through new music, voice acting, and editing, Mafalda: La Película emerges as a singular and gleeful theatrical experience worth the time of seasoned fans and newcomers alike.
