Angela (Manuela Velasco), a TV host is helming a documentary focused on the lives of  Firemen in Barcelona, and especially what they get up to on their overnight shifts. As Angela and her cameraman join the Firemen on a seemingly routine apartment block visit, once they're inside a blood-soaked old woman lunges for one of the cop's necks and the chaos begins. 

To this day, REC remains an incredibly refreshing, genuinely scary film that arrived just in time during the onslaught of forgettable Found Footage in the aughts. Anchored by excellent performances from the main & side characters, REC delivers a truly blood curdling experience as it deftly reveals small slivers of what's actually going on and what our protagonists are up against.
