Friday Night Double Feature | A Part of Music Box of Horrors: Dawn of the Drive-In Presented by Shudder

We’re heading down to the border for a wild night of vampire motorcycle gangs, bloody occult rituals, and sexy, Satanic mid-’90s mayhem! First up is From Dusk Till Dawn, the first collaboration between Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez; the two bonded over criticisms that their movies were “too violent,” an accusation that’s thrown back in the audience’s face with pulpy, bloody glee. Few things could one-up Dusk, but “amoral love story” Perdita Durango does so with devilish abandon, adding Santeria, cocaine, and a pair of terrified college students to an already volatile mix. Rosie Perez and Javier Bardem star as one of the great criminal couples in cinema history, whose nihilistic thrill-seeking causes chaos on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border.
