Before stealing the spotlight on the hit show Queer Eye, Jonathan Van Ness endured years of judgement, ridicule, and trauma in the small Midwestern town where he grew up. But none of it crushed his uniquely effervescent spirit.

His journey from easy target to model of self-love is explored with raw detail in his memoir, Over the Top, which chronicles never-before-told secrets and stories. In this conversation, Van Ness will explore how the hate and rejection that lined the road he walked to fame also taught him how to accept, love, and celebrate himself—no permission necessary. Plus, enjoy a special peformance by Chicago Gay Men's Chorus to kick off the evening.

*Order price includes a copy of Van Ness’s new memoir, Over the Top: A Raw Journey to Self-Love, which will be available for pick up at the event. Please note that any applicable discounts or ticket price reductions apply only to the cost of the ticket ($15). Tickets are not available for purchase without a book.*
