Conrad Veidt (THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI) plays Gwynplaine, the son of nobility, disfigured by a doctor into a permanent, grotesque grin. Credited by Bob Kane, the creator of Batman, as the inspiration for The Joker, THE MAN WHO LAUGHS is a hauntingly poetic, beautiful, disturbing and dreamlike story of love & horror sure to tug heartstrings and unsettle the soul in tandem.
