In celebration of Mark Cousins’s The Story of Film: A New Generation, Music Box Theatre brings ten of the most innovative and exciting films of the last decade back to the big screen. Cousins’s globe-trotting tour of cinema picks up where his landmark doc, The Story of Film: An Odyssey, left off, surveying everything from deluxe Hollywood blockbusters to handmade fantasias from Thailand, Argentina, and Russia. All films in the series are explored in The Story of Film: A New Generation in Cousins’s trademark register of digressive, omnivorous criticism.
