Join us for a night honoring the music of the legendary musician Sun Ra, as well as celebrating the still boundary-pushing music scene of Chicago, with the illustrious Bitchin’ Bajas, fresh off their critically-lauded album Bajascillators, taking the stage to perform a series of songs from their acclaimed album Switched-On Ra, presenting their own particular brand of psilocybin-tinged joy. In addition, we will be showing John Coney’s paranoid-leaden Afrofuturist film Space is the Place, a rarely-screened experimental gem starring Sun Ra and His Arkestra.
