Big Picture Ranch and Area 23a present the Chicago premiere screening of the film Common Ground a hopeful and uplifting story of the pioneers of the “Regenerative Movement” who produce tremendous quantities of nutritionally dense food and are working to balance the climate – all while bringing our entire ecosystem back to life. The film explores how Americans from different walks of life, different political backgrounds, and different parts of the country share one thing in common –the very soil beneath their feet. The film investigates the power of “regenerative” farming systems –from large to small-scale farmers who are the champions of soil health as the key to unlocking more (and healthier) food to feed America and the world.

Common Ground VIP Reception Information

Join Common Ground filmmakers Josh and Rebecca Tickell for a VIP Reception prior to the film. Regenerative and local food luminaries, who will also participate in the panel discussion after the film, are attending the reception. They include: James Beard Award winning Chef, Rick Bayless, who sources regenerative food for his Frontera Hospitality Group, Will Allen, urban farming pioneer and author of The Good Food Revolution, and Jim Slama, Naturally Chicago Managing Director and creator of the Locally Made program to encourage retailers to sell and promote local food. The celebration includes regeneratively grown food, local beer and cocktails with locally produced spirits. Proceeds will support the development of the Locally Made program.
