In Evilspeak, Stanley Coopersmith (Clint Howard) is a military academy cadet who’s bullied for being an orphan and an oddball. While on punishment detail, he discovers a hidden passage in the church cellar and finds a diary that belonged to a Satanist. Using a school computer, Coopersmith translates one page at a time, the computer begins to communicate back, and a powerful summoning spell leads to a bloody and shocking climax.
A notorious “video nasty,” Evilspeak is Clint Howard’s first horror movie credit and one of his rare starring roles aside from (and long before) Ice Cream Man (1995).
