“I will kill you when you are in the most pain. When you’re in the most pain, shivering out of fear, then I will kill you. That’s real revenge.”
Lee Byung-hun (A Bittersweet Life) and Choi Min-sik (Oldboy) feature in this tormenting tail featuring a government agent pursuing a serial killer with a relentless series of ‘catch and release’ attacks, exacting revenge in a way that challenges the limits of everyone involved, including the audience. Director Kim Jee-woon (A Tale of Two Sisters) drags you to the heart of darkness with this exploration of wrath and begs the question; how far can retaliation go and remain justified?
Music Box Theatre screens films of all genres and from every era of cinema, both new releases and repertory. These films may sometimes contain upsetting, outdated, or offensive material. While we aim to introduce many of our screenings, we do not always provide warnings about potentially triggering content within the films we screen. We encourage our patrons to research the film before they attend using trailers, reviews, or content information found on Common Sense Media, IMDb and DoesTheDogDie.com.
