February 20 & 21, bundle up and follow our tracks through the polar vortex to the Music Box Theatre where it's just as cold inside—because we're plunging into subzero chillers programmed by Tony Recktenwald and Edward Witt of Full Bleed for a deep freeze experience you'll never forget!
Every ticket includes a Limited Edition Pinback Button (new design each night), and every show kicks off with Giveaways donated by The Shadowboxery, Cryptid Craft Studio, Night Natalie, Groovy Doom, and Full Bleed for the first folks who answer our trivia questions. The category is winter horror, so get ready!
In Iced, a group of friends head to a fun-filled getaway in the snowy mountains where they’ve been offered a free stay at a luxury ski resort. Their high spirits are dampened when they arrive at their cabin and discover a newspaper clipping about the death of their friend Jeff during a ski trip four years earlier—it’s clear someone holds the group responsible for the accident. As they settle in for a cozy winter vacation full of skiing, sexual intrigue, and naked cocaine binges, a mysterious figure in ski gear and cracked goggles stalks the surroundings to pick them off one by one in a variety of gruesome ways.
The directorial debut of Jeff Kwitny, who would go on to helm Beyond the Door III (1989), Iced—which began life under the title Blizzard of Blood—is a deliriously entertaining snowbound slasher penned by and starring Berserker (1987) star Joseph Alan Johnson, alongside a scene-stealing performance from Lisa Loring, the original Wednesday Addams. Featuring an astonishing amount of bare skin and a host of fun kills, including death by jacuzzi, icicle, and a glacially-paced snow plow, Iced is a must-see slasher!
We're also screening Frostbiter (1995) on Saturday, February 21 at 11:45pm!
