Ever wondered how independent films are made or maybe you’re an aspiring filmmaker or student who is looking for strategies to take their filmmaking to the next level?  Local film professor, John Otterbacher, presents a selection of shorts including award winning films SILT and PAPER PLANES and a special sneak peak rough cut screening of a local short.  

SILT (2022): A botanist grieving the death of a beloved aunt, travels alone to northern Mexico, where she is nourished by images of the last trip they took together traversing the Colorado River.

PAPER PLANES (2023): A woman with agoraphobia and the AirBnB guest across the hall strike up a correspondence that becomes something more for the holidays.
