Scary Movie: Nerdy, introverted Warren, riddled with anxiety (and played by Academy Award nominee John Hawkes!), is tugged along for a double date at an old-fashioned haunted house on Halloween Night. When he overhears that the sheriff is scrambling to recapture an escaped psycho killer, Warren bugs out his eyes, worried that every scene in the haunted house is real, and, just barely, he pulls himself together…to become a hero?

“Mr. Pumpkin”: Leroy returns home from trick-or-treating and pouts that he can only have one candy bar before bed. His dad tells him a story about a slimy monster that lives in pumpkins…maybe even Leroy’s jack-o’-lantern! Better be careful because Mr. Pumpkin is watching, and he’ll know if you eat too much candy! Cameo appearance by legendary art director Robert A. Burns of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) and Re-Animator (1985)!

Daniel Erickson won the Silver Award at the Houston International Film Festival for Scary Movie, and, shortly thereafter, the Austin-based filmmaker established himself as an accomplished director of Texas music videos. Erickson is currently developing feature-length projects while continuing to work on music video and commercial productions. His second feature, Eve's Necklace (2009), was the first-ever motion picture with an all-mannequin cast, and it won Best Feature at the Seattle True Independent Film Festival.
